So on this weekend we’ve visited the exhibition"WALKING IN MY MIND" in Hayward Gallery of ten artists from different countries.
To my surperise, more than a half of the artists describe the work in grotesque detail with cutted things.Maybe it just reflects the reality of modern life and their opinions.Anyway,I don’t know much about Contemperary Art,so I won’t judge them. But I insist that the “wow” factor is what people feel when they find gratification in seeing something incredible.
My favorate is Bo christian Larson’s work and Charles Avery’s.Bo’s work is kind of exaggeration but very sensitive and imaginative. There’re part of his work on the table in corner, which are really special and meaningful, every stuff is telling you a little story ;Charles used much black woolen yarn to knit a space like a channel, and some white hills could been seen inside it,which was in form of four ladies dress. It looks like we’re indeed walking in his mind. And the famous Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama does well too.Not only he made us all in the spot space, but also he devide the space from any angle could be a post.
So the work what I like is to create a pro-active environment to involve all participants, make us feel something ,say something ,image something, and leave something maybe.Nice day with new friends and lovely weather….;;’
