V & A (serena)

I have been to Victoria and Albert museum last weekend. The museum is devided into several areas according to the seven continent. I visited the theme “telling tales” when I first came in. I found two interesting designer chairs there which were named “Princess chair” and “Petit Jardin chair”. Both of them are made by Tord Boontje. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t take photos in that area. I would described the first chair likes a short wedding dress and the other one seems telling a story!

Secondly, the area which impressed me a lot was the fashion gallery. There showed fashion dating from 1750s to present. I could found Alexander Mcqueen, Christian Lacriox and Moschino’s products. Their collections could reflect the fashion trend at the time. That was the first time I saw “Bustle pad” which made me feel women in the past, especially those in the middle age liked to highlight their body shapes. To sum up, I have learnt a lesson of fashion history in this journey.
