I went to National Portrait Gallery to see BP portrait award 2009 last weekend. Firstly, it was absolutely fantastic. I found that each work was highly-created and faschinating objects were captured by determined skill of the artists. Secondly, the astonishing thing for me was I was able to see quite clearly what sitter's personality, experience, emotion was and what sort of relationship they have had with the painters. Although models are known closely to them, not to us. Therefore, I realized how difficult mission the artists had done was. I don't think I could...So, I simply admire them.
