Portobello Rd Market (bella)

Today I went to Portobello Market which is nearby notting hill gate and famous for old antiques and marvelous things. The market is devided to 3parts with an old age and full of Antique, Second-hand goods, handmade design work, and interesting goods and also various food.

My favorite is vintage shops, and I found one in the corner with all the collections from 17s’ to 20s’. While luxurious labels have gone mainstream, people have a growing interest in vintage shopping. Vitage is a piece of history, people who rely on "vintage " want to make a statement by reconnecting with the past. What is past in one time zone may be very happening in another. Vintage dress is sometimes an investment. Many vintage pieces were made by hand, and the fabrics chosen for quality. Moreover, older things are something that marked a legend or with someone’s memory and stories. Purchasing a good quality vintage dress is sometimes an investment, and you can have it for a lifetime even keep it in your wardrobe and pass it down through generations, holding on to history, not only of that dress and the era it derived from, but of you and your own legacy. May be it’s unbearably to somebody because it’s used, but I think it's beautiful and kind of interesting when someone’s temperament and stories stayed in it. I had a lovely amber necklace which is from 1920’s,but I don’t want to wear it but just keeping it in a small elegant wood box.

There are so many other interesting things that I kept myself hanging out all the day and then pretty hungry. I’ve eaten some tasty snacks from Asia. I think Portobello Rd Market is a most wonderful place to visit and you can dig up anything interesting here.
